624 pp, 16mo (6 3/16" H), thin burgundy leather over card covers/spine - gold lettering and decoration on spine, top edge gilt - in slipcase. Burgundy endpapers, integral ribbon bookmark, sepiatone illustrations, including frontispiece. When a Scottish nobleman, Nigel Olifaunt, travels to London to secure his ancestral lands, he falls prey to the political intrigues of the Duke of Buckingham who wants the estate for himself. Plots, murder and romance ensue. Minor wear on edges and at corners, very light browning to fore-edge and bottom of text block. Slipcase has some light fading to colour at edges, light corner wear, wear at top rear edge.
