472 pp, 452 pp - 2 volume set - 9 7/8" H. beige cloth with paper title labels on spine (each volume has an additional copy of the label laid in at rear), top edges gilt. Tissue covered portrait frontispiece. Stated as the "Edition de Luxe / This edition of Sir Wilfrid Laurier and the Liberal Party is limited to One Hundred Signed and Numbered sets, of which this is Number ___". The limitation page is not signed or numbered, but the front free endpaper is inscribed: "To Mr. Walter B. Blaikie, / with the Compliments of / J.S. Willison. / Toronto Aug 29, 1903." Some minor tiny foxing marks on endpapers and preliminary pages of both volumes, faint erased penciled number on front pastedown of volume I, small light stain at fore-edge of page leaf 139/140 of volume II, browning to fore-edge and bottom of text blocks, browning to spine and spine labels, scattered tiny foxing marks and moderate soiling on boards, light edge wear and rubbing to boards/spines, light wrinkling at top/bottom of spines, small bump at top of rear hinge and at front board fore-edge of volume II, paper on rear inside hinge of volume II has had some repairs - hinge holding firmly.
