476 pp + [3 pp] An Alphabetical Table + [1 pp] errata + introductory leaves as follow: [i]-ii - Dedication to King William IV; [iii]-xi - Preface to the Editor; [xiii]-xx - Sketch of the Life of the Rev. Philip Falle; [2 pp) Contents. After this there is a binding error that sees the Dedication to King William III [iii], The Preface to the First Edition [v]-xiii, and the first pages of An Introduction to the Second Edition [xiv]-xvi, bound between pages 17-18 of the text, along with a title page for "Caesarea; or, An Account of Jersey", dated 1835. Pages xvii-xxix of An Introduction to the Second Edition and Sailing Directions, xxx-xxi, follow the Contents pages. Page number 353 has been used twice, but the text follows correctly. Although a little confusing up to page 18, all pages are present. *Please note: The title page states "Notes and Illustrations" by the Rev. Edward Durrell - however, there are no illustrations and no indication that any were ever included. Later rebinding with medium brown cloth-covered boards, leather spine with gilt lettering/decoration and blind banding. Chapter headings: History of the Island; Description of the Island; Military Government; Civil Jurisdiction; Convention of the States; Privileges; Religion; An Appendix of Records and Other Pieces Referred to in the Preceding Chapters; An Alphabetical Table of Reference to the principal subjects treated in the Notes. Many pages have very light to light browning and scattered foxing marks - mainly in margins; title page, dedication page, preface and introduction pages have areas of browning and foxing; one page with a small edge tear archivally taped; one page with an approx. 1/2" x 1 1/2" piece missing from top of hinge margin; page xix has a small area where the printer's ink has adhered poorly; some pages with a varying size soft crease at the top corner; heavy browing to edges of text block, light waviness to edges of text block; light rubbing to leather and edges of boards; a few very small white soiling marks on boards.
