A volume from the "Edition De Luxe" (limited to four hundred sets - this copy unnumbered) of The Makers of Canada series - inscribed in red ink on the limitation page: "With the Compliments / of / the Publishers (underscored) / Nov 16 - 1903". There is also a previous owner's signature in black ink on this page. B&w tissue-covered frontispiece.
