Casson is one of the most beloved of all Canadian artists. His works are sought after probably more than those of any other living native painter. As a member of the Group of Seven and in the many years since its dissolution, he has created a brilliant series of canvases celebrating our landscape in all its many moods and seasons. His works are treasured in every national public gallery collection, and in hundred of private collections. It is to bring together a magnificent cross-section from these collections that this volume has been designed. It includes representative major canvases, oil sketches and watercolours. The artist himself, has overseen the quality of every plate in this publication." A very heavy volume. which will require extra postage for destinations outside of Canada and the United States. Book has a slight lean, one page with three small very light soiling marks (not effecting any text), light toning to edges of text block. Dust jacket has a crease along the bottom front edge, several tiny or small edge tears and some light wrinkling - mostly at bottom edge, slight toning at edges. Box is complete and sound with some light edge wear and a piece of old tape on one edge.
