No date, but the text references two patterns introduced in 1937 and there is a printed note on the back cover stating that the Wire-o-binding was patented 1936. B&w photographs of the shop (exterior & interior) and the proprietors, plus b&w (and a few colour) photographs of china (Wedgwood, Royal Doulton, Johnson Bros., Adams, etc.). Short historiesy of the store, the family, the decoration of English china. Pages 12-48 show examples of some of the different patterns carried with descriptions. "The Romance of a Village Shop" is printed on the inside of both covers. Interior - small soft bump to top corner of pages, a few soft wrinkles at some page fore-edges, otherwise clean and tight with no other ownership marks. Exterior - small crease at corners of covers, very light edge wrinkling, one tiny edge tear on front cover.
