Vol. 1 - 272 pp / Vol. 2 - 318 pp, large 8vo (9 3/4" H) - 2 volume set. Brigadier Malone provides lively and informed recollections drawn from his wartime experiences and from his post-war conversations with Churchill, Alanbrooke, Montgomery, Beaverbrook, Ralston and others, which contribute greatly to our understanding of Canada's role in the Second World War. A small selection of b&w photographs. Minor edgewear to boards and light wrinkling at top/bottom of spines; Vol. 1 has minor mark on bottom of textblock; Vol.2 has several faint liquid splash marks on bottom of textblock and slight fading to edges of boards. Dust jackets have minor to light edge wear/wrinkling.
