THE BANTAMS: THE UNTOLD STORY OF WORLD WAR I., Allinson, Sidney.

Author Name    Allinson, Sidney.

Title   THE BANTAMS: THE UNTOLD STORY OF WORLD WAR I.

Publisher    Mosaic, (Oakville, 1982).

Seller ID   14538

287 pp, 8vo (9" H), soft cover. B&w photos. Britain's Regular Army, the Expeditionary Force, was virtually wiped out in the first months of fighting...This book relates the history of the Bantam Battalions from beginning to bloody end - one might almost say 'out of nowhere, back into obscurity', for it is suprising how many official histories of the Great War have ignored the very real part these little men played..." Interior - clean and tight with no previous ownership marks. Exterior - light browning to edges of textblock, tiny stain of fore-edge of textblock, light browning to edges of covers, very light wear at top of spine, slight curling to fore-edge of covers. VG-
