This book was probably originally issued in wraps, and rebound soon after in this hard cover format. Among the issues covered in this report: Accidents; Hamilton, Annexation of Burlington Beach to; Radial Railway strike; London, Street Railway, Repair of; Niagara Falls Electric Light Extension By-law; St. Thomas Street Railway, Examiner of Motormen; Toronto, vs. Toronto Railway Company (lavatories, etc.), etc. Interior - company stamp on free front endpaper and at top of title page, endpapers very light browned and soiled, pages very lightly browned at margins. Title page states "Fifth Edition" and below the publisher information, with the date 1893, "With Index and Directory Revised to 1902". All maps, including one in the rear pocket, are present. Includes an Introduction (Extent and History / Antiquities / Products and Manuacturers / Geology and Traveller's View / Main Roads / Railway Systems / Skeleton Tour / Places of Interest / An Artistic and Antiquarian Tour). Describes a variety of routes, radiating out from London, Hastings, "Tonbridge" Wells, Brighton, Horsham and Godalming, plus an Index. The title for the advertising section continues: "Containing Useful Information for Travellers, Railway and Steamboat Companies, Hotels and Miscellaneous Advertisements." Many b&w photographs of University buildings, professors, sports teams, etc. Head shots and short biographies of students. Information on students who served/died in the First World War. Honour rolls. Light browning and a few very tiny stains on endpapers, small area of printing ink offset in top margin of pages 22 & 23, light edge wear/wrinkling at top/bottom of spine, light browning to edges of text block, light wear at corners, soiling to cloth on boards.
