An early reprinting of the classic American Gothic novel by Charles Brockden Brown (1771-1810), first published in 1799, involving murder, sleepwalkers, a guilt-ridden immigrant and Indian kidnappers. Set near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Very tiny crease at top corner of pages, very minor wear on hinges - mainly on front hinge.
