Otto, son of the robber Baron Conrad, suffers the loss of his right hand as an act of revenge by Baron Henry. When his father is killed during his rescue, Otto escapes to a monastery to recover. Later, he marries the daughter of his former captor and becomes known for his gentleness and wise counsel. Leather from the top 1/16th of the spine is missing, spine is slightly twisted, very light wrinkling/wear at bottom of spine, very small bump to top corner of boards, small label from bookstore at bottom of front free endpaper, minor corner wear, protected in a stiff mylar sleeve.
