156 pp + publisher's advertisements, 7 1/4" H. 8 sepiatone photographs, including frontispiece (collated). "The first guide-book of its kind to nearly sixty chateaux scattered across France, some world famous, some almost unknown, and all of which are regularly inhabited. An architectural and historical description, the exact times of opening, prices of admission (at time of publishing), and whereabouts of each chateau are given." The chateaux are grouped geographically under: Aisne; Allier; Ardennes; Cantal; Charente-Inferieure; Cher; Cote-d'Or; Eure-et-Loir; Indre-et-Loire; Loir-et-Cher; Loire-Inferieure; Loiret; Mayenne; Orne; Sarthe; Seine-et-Marne; Seine-et-Oise; Vaucluse; Yonne. The book closes with a list of "Other Chateau, either uninhabited or in ruins, open to the public". Very light browning on endpapers, tiny liquid mark on top of text block, very small light corner bumps, light soiling and very light browning on boards, light browning and some tiny and small stains on spine and rear hinge. Dust jacket has very light browning, light edge wear/wrinkling - mainly at top/bottom of spine and flap-folds, a few tiny and small edge tears - archivally taped, soft crease down spine.
