766 pp, 8 1/8" H. Medium green cloth with gilt lettering on spine, blindstamped bow on front board, top edge green. 4th printing of the unlimited edition of 1937. Appendices: A: International Protest Against the Unauthorized & Mutilated Edition of 'Ulysses' in the U.S.A. / Injunction; B: A Letter from Mr Joyce to the Publisher of the First American Edition / The Decision of the United States District Court Rendered December 6, 1933, by Hon. John M. Woolsey Lifting the Ban on 'Ulysses' / The Decision of the United States Court of Appeals, Rendered August 7, 1934 / Foreword to the First American Edition; C: Biblio- graphy of Works by Mr. James Joyce. Foyle's book store label on front pastedown. Previous owner's name in ink on free front endpaper; light fading to color at top/bottom of spine and hinges - slight fading on rest of spine, bottom edge of boards and on top of text block; a few tiny bumps to bottom edge of boards; slight bump at three corners; small faint cup ring mark on front board; bump at top rear corner; two very small foxing marks on bottom of text block; small bump/crease at fore-edge of pages 749 to end of book; tiny crease at top corner of page leaves 389 to 402; a few tiny scuffs to edges of text block; minor soiling.
