267 pp, 7 11/16" H. Medium green cloth with black lettering/banding on spine, black lettering & drawing on front board. 24 b&w plates (photographs - collated), including tissue-covered frontispiece, b&w drawings in text. Contents: Early History; The Wright Brothers and the Wright Machine; How an Aeroplane Flies; Some Famous Flights; Races and Records; The Great Airways of the World; The Aeroplane on the Ground; Safety in the Air; Types of Aeroplanes and Seaplanes; The Birth, Life and Death of an Aeroplane; Aeroplane Engines; The Aeroplane at War; The Future of the Aeroplane; Recent Progress; Glossary. Light browning on endpapers, book slightly creacked in a few a places - pages holding, one picture page with a tiny corner crease and one with a soft crease top to bottom, light soiling to edges of text block - a little more on bottom, wrinkling at top/bottom of spine, light edge wear, very small stain on spine and some wrinkling of the cloth, a few light scuffs on front board, one slight corner bump.
