Kraus, collector / and merchant of / scholarship, with / the admiration of / R.W.G. Vail / July 14, 1955." (Hans Peter Kraus (1907-1988) was a successful rare book dealer in Berlin, but fled Europe at the beginning of WWII, arriving in New York 1939. His autobiography, "A Rare Book Saga", details his career and rise to prominence in the world of rare book dealing in the mid-20th century.) This book was published as part of the Rosenbach Fellowship in Bibliography.
