510 pp, 8vo (8 15/16" H) - quarter blue buckram series binding with a design in black and gold by Malcolm Harvey Young, grey paper boards with border in blue, grey endpapers, dark blue slipcase. B&w illustrations. " 'Mr Scarborough's Family' was first published as a serial text in 'All the Year Round' from 27 May 1882 to 16 June 1885. It was first published in book form by Chatto & Windus as a three-volume edition in spring 1883. This edition is based on the text of the serial version with minor emendations and with the excised passages reinstated." Slipcase has a few very tiny dints on front edges, small bump at top rear edge and top rear corner, very light rubbing, a few very small soiling marks on one side panel.
