There is an Xmas message dated 1917 on the front fr ee endpaper and a contemporary Xmas sticker (bluebird with wreath) on the bottom right hand corner of the front cover. An early owner has glued related poems by Rupert Brooke, Rudyard Kipling, Richard Le Gallienne, Lauchlan MacLean Watt and o t h e r s on the bottom of page 52 and on the following blank pages. Pages lightly browned - mainly preliminaries, 1917 Christmas gift inscription on free front end paper, several pages of browned poetry newspaper clippings and one card glued to r ea r bl an k p ages, browning to edges of text block, moderate edge wear, rubbing and some areas of discoloration on front board, small pictorial label glued on front board, very small corner bumps. Good reading copy only.
