178 pp, 7" H, hard cover (dark green cloth with gold lettering and banding on spine, gold decorations on spine and front board) - no dust jacket. One of the 'English Heritage Series'. A collection of prose and poetry by Edmund Blunden, one of Engl and's WWI poets, here describing aspects of the English countryside and village life. Titles include: Expressions at the Market; The Fan Tod; The Hop Leaf, An Ancient Holiday (Cricket); The Winter Moth; Mists and Fogs; The Village Chimneys; A n E x - F ootballer; A Country Prayer, etc. Small label from bookstore on front pastedown, previous owner's name/date on free front endpaper, six pages with small light stain in margin, book slightly cracked at pages 128/129, minor soiling to top of te xt bl oc k, minor wrinkling at top/bottom of spine.
