"...spans the development of twenty-four of Canada's most important painters from 1945 to the present, with styles as diverse as thos e of Colville and Riopelle, Shadbolt and Town. Each painter is represented by four full-colour prints of major works that highlight his career. In addition to a general introduction about the period and a critical appraisal of each artist's work, there are photographs of the artists, statements by the artists about themselves and their work." Dust jacket has light edge wear/wrinkling, three closed tears up to 1 1/2" - two with old tape residue on inside and one with creases, area of surface roughness at top of r ear flap.
