King George III's physician was also Mrs Elliot's physician and the King became intrigued with stories the doctor related to him of Mrs Elliott's experiences in Paris at t h e t ime of the French Revolution. At his request, she committed the story to paper. Very ti ny din t on front board, very minor soiling a few tiny dints on top/bottom edges of boards. Dust jacket has very light wear and wrinkling at bottom of hinges and flap-folds, very small tear with crease at top of rear flap-fold - archivally taped. Wra paro un d b and has very light browning on spine and flap-folds. Slipcase has light wear at corners, light rubbing, very small bump at one bottom front corner, slight color fading at front edges, crease/bend at bottom corner of one side panel.
