As the title suggest s , i t is not an attempt at re-telling the Battle of Britain story for, unlike many previous publications, it concentrates entirely upon the airfields. An introductory chapter though, deals with the effects of the Battle upon the County of Kent wh il s t su b sequent sections deal with each airfield in turn. Apart from those already mentioned, the book has sections on Gravesend, Rochester, Detling, (Eastchurch), and Lympne whilst a further chapter deals with airfield defences.
