Burgundy endpapers, sepia tone plates, including frontispiece, decorated title page. The last novel in 'The Marie Antoinette Romances' series. Very light browning to edges of textblock, minor edge wear, light wrinkling at top/bottom of spine. Dust jacket has very ligh t e dgewear/wrinkling, small chip at bottom of spine - a few tiny chips/tears elsewhere, very light rubbing/soiling, light browning to spine and flap-folds. "This translation is based upon the anonymous translation first published by Routledge in 1857." Further adventures of the 'Three Musketeers' (Athos, Porthos, Aramis) and D'Artagnan. Slight bump to bottom corner of front board. Slipcase has very minor rubbing, one small rear bottom corner bump.

"This translation is based upon William Barrow's translation first published by Bruce & Wyld in 1846." Very faint tiny bump/rub at front board bottom corner. Slipcase has very minor rubbing and three very small light corner bumps.

London Collins Clear-Type Press Full-Leather Good+ 
712 pp, 16mo (6 1/8" H), thin burgundy leather over card covers/spine - gold lettering and decoration on spine, top edge gilt - in slipcase. Burgundy endpapers, b&w frontispiece. The second of the D'Artagnan Romances which began with The Three Musketeers. Remains of publisher's thin plastic 'dust jacket' adhered to front pastedown, with a small area of surface paper removed. Light edge wear with some light color loss, spine is slightly concave, some light line rub marks on covers, slight browning to fore-edge and bottom of text block. Slip case has light edge wear, crease on both side panels, small stains on bottom panel, bump at bottom of spine.
