Unpaginated (approx 13 pp.), oblong 8vo (8 5/8" H), hard cover with glazed pictorial boards (no dust jacket). Wonderful, full-color pop-ups (one with moving wheels), finishing with a two-page spread of the Union Pacific's 'Big Boy', expanded with d ouble flaps , with Stephenson's 'Rocket' superimposed for comparison. Follows the history of the steam locomotive from Stephenson's 1825 "Locomotion', showing British, American and Continental engines. Very light wear at top corner of fr o n t b o a r d . Still in publisher's shrinkwrap. Near Fine
