"Here is the story of a famous Indian Division which will be of interest not only to those who wore the 'Fighting Cock' badge bu t to those who served in the campaigns in Burma which led to the defeat of the Japanese, covering as it does the whole period from 1942 when the Division was formed to the victory in Burma and later in Java. The book contains a particularly v i v i d p icture of the blood-bath in Java and shows how, in this little-known 'war', the Division kept bright its reputation for gallant conduct and high endeavour." Tiny to small stains at bottom of pages 20/21 - migrate slightly into adjacent p ag es , li g ht wrinkling at top/bottom of spine, tiny bump at top corner and light cloth fraying at bottom corner of front board, some light wrinkling of cloth on rear board, slight browning of edges. Dust jacket has several small tears and ve ry sma ll ch ips , gen eral light soiling, slight darkening to spine, light edge wrinkling, light rubbing, browning to inside surface. Good+/Good-
