365 pp + 27 pp supplement - 8 3/4" H. The catalogue of the exhibition. Profusely illustrated with b&w and colour photographs, reproductions. Contents: forewords; ludwig grote, walter gropius and the bauhaus; walter gropius, my conception of the bauhaus ideal; ludwig grote, basic form and functional-ism; heinz winfried sabais, the spirit of the weimar republic; chronology; catalogue: dieter honisch, about the exhibition; preliminary course and teaching: otto stelzer, the preliminary course in weimar and dessau; workshops: hans eckstein, purpose and goal of workshops-education at the bauhaus; architecture and design: nikolaus pevsner, architecture and the bauhaus / jurgen joedicke, on the stuttgart "weissenhof-siedlung"; painting, sculpture, graphics: will grohmann, the painters at the bauhaus; life at the bauhaus: reginald isaacs, the bauhausier / alfred arndt, life at the bauhaus and its festivals / sigfried giedion, the bauhaus and the bauhaus week in weimar / hans h. stuckenschmidt, red circle and blue square / ilja ehrenburg, about the dessau bauhaus; continuation of the teaching: hans m. wingler, repercussion and further development of the bauhaus in america / jay doblin, institute of design-today; biographies, bibliographies; index. Interior - two creases at top corner and soft crease down preliminary map page, previous owner's name in ink on title page, very small crease/wrinkles at top corner of pages 35 to 50. Exterior - slight twist to spine, tiny bump at top/bottom of rear hinge, small partial tear at bottom of front hinge, very light browning to cover edges and on spine. Dust jacket has light edge wear and light to moderate rubbing to covers, two small edge tears, protected in a mylar sleeve. Supplement: Interior - clean and tight with no previous ownership marks. Exterior - light edge wear and light rubbing on covers, one small corner crease.
