271 pp, 6 1/4" H. Red cloth with gilt lettering/decoration on spine, blindstamped decoration on front board. Red and cream pictorial endpapers, b&w illustrations, including portrait frontispiece. Contents: 'The Rectory Umbrella'; 'Notes by an Oxford Chiel'; 'Alice' on the Stage; An Irresponsible Correspond-ent; Curiosa Mathematica; Games and Puzzles; Miscellanea Carrolliana; Appendix; Index. Previous owner's partial bookplate on front pastedown, book is lightly cocked, slight toning to margins of pages, light browning to pages 30 & 31 due to previously laid-in piece of paper, browning to edges of text block, very light edge wear, light wrinkling at top/bottom of spine - tiny tear at bottom, come darkening to spine color, very light rubbing and soiling on boards.
