"This is the hitherto untold and virtually unknown story of the 100 Canadian fighter pilots who flew during the Battle of Britain - 'the pre-eminent air battle of the modern era. ' Together they scored more victories per pilot than any other Allied air force. Set against the backdrop of a raging controversy over control within Fighter Command, (this book) relates the feats of daring exemplified by such pilots as Johnny Kent, Ernie McNab, Gordie McGregor, Dal Russel and Skeets Ogilvie. It is also the story of the grit and courage of a British people who refused to break under the horrendous onslaught of German bombing raids." Interior - very small crease at bottom corner of last 4 page leaves, otherwise clean and tight with no other ownership marks. Exterior - two small corner creases, slight curl to covers at fore-edge.
