Contents: Introduction; Summary of the Bank's History from 1869; Chronology; Original Shareholders of the Merchants Bank of Halifax; Officers, 1869-1919; Present Officers; General Statement, November 29, 1919; Comparative Statement Shewing Progress of the Bank since 1869; Branches, 1869-1919, and Recapitulation, November 30, 1919; List of Branches and Managers; Roll of Honour; Act to Incorporate the Merchants Bank of Halifax; Act Respecting the Merchants Bank of Halifax and to Change its Name to "The Royal Bank of Canada"; Act to Amend the above Act; Act Respecting the Removal of the Head Office of The Royal Bank of Canada from Halifax to Montreal. Interior - light color offset on free endpapers from inside of covers, previous owner's name in ink on front free endpaper, very small soft crease or curl at top/bottom corners of first few and last few pages. Exterior - darkening to spine and edges of covers, moderate shelf soiling on bottom of text block, very small corner creases on front cover, light soiling on covers, a few tiny light stains on front cover label, tiny piece missing from top of spine, minor edge wear.
