Cross travels in the style of the modern young journalist to whom every added mile is a new adventure, and in high spirits he takes you with him. His descriptions are spirited, pungent, unorthodox. Written into every page is the secret of getting fun out of travel - perhaps, indeed, the secret for getting fun out of life."
