The final section (describing the modeling techniques) is in Japanese only. This "series aims to present history's great military operations and battles through expertly-crafted dioramas. To launch (it), we have chosen as the theme what was almost certainly the greatest single operation in military history: The D-Day invasion of Normandy, France. The dioramas in this volume cover the period from June to August of 1944. The eleven dioramas presented in these pages were put together by individuals who are among the finest military modelers in Japan, if not the world. Their completed projects are, by any sense, works of art."
