63 pp, 8vo (8 1/4" H), hard cover in dust jacket. Illustrated with lovely blue, black & white drawings. "When the four Peppernut children and their parents move into an old hunting lodge for the summer, they fell in love with the house and Paradis e Valley. A pool was their bathtub and their water came from a stream right into the stone sink in the kitchen. The water was always flowing and no one ever knew when a pollywog might wiggle through. Captain Peppernut, the boy, built a t r e e h o u s e ; Flitter Peppernut, the oldest girl, made a priincess' castle out of the family car; the twin sisters Tua A and Tua B explored Paradise Valley, and Daddy worked at his typewriter, for he was an author - but only when he had his h at o n. I t wa s a wo nderful, magical summer, and when it was over each member of the family used his ingenuity to keep forever the home they loved...." Minor browning to edges of textblock, minor edge wear, minor bump to top/bottom of spine, ti ny spe ck o n fr ont b oa rd. Dust jacket has 3" tear at top of rear hinge with associated creases - now archivally taped, light browning - mainly on spine/flap-folds/edges, small brown stain on front panel and at bottom of front flap-fold, sever al smal l t ea rs , l ight ed ge wear at top/bottom of spine and flap-folds, slight wrinkling at top of front panel. Very Good/Good+
