Unpaginated, small 4to, HC in dust jacket. INSCRIBED BY JOHN WILLARD ON HALF-TITLE PAGE. Profusely illustrated with b&w photos and drawings. "The story of Ontario's Barge Boards, also called Verge Boards and by the unversed, Gingerbread." A wond erful look at a whimsical architectural decorative form - a type of folk art popular in the second half of the nineteenth century. Page edges browning lightly, a few tiny dints to bottoms of boards. Dust jacket has wrinkling and tiny t e a r s / c h i p s a t top of spine, moderate edgewear/rubbing, light soiling/wrinkling elsewhere. VG/G-
