269 pp + 2 pp publisher's advertising, 9" H. Red cloth with gilt lettering & decoration on spine and front board. Illustrated with numerous b&w photographs (collated). The author was the founder of the Royal Aero Club (1901) and the first Hon. Treasurer of the Royal Automobile Club (1897) and wrote two previous books - "Fifty Years of Travel by Land, Water and Air" and "Through Lapland with Skis and Reindeer". Very light browning on free endpapers, previous owner's name in ink and faint erased pencil writing marks on front free endpaper, small edge tear on page leaf 259/260 - archivally taped, light browning to edges of text block, very light soiling on top of text block, light edge wear, wrinkling at top/bottom of spine with two tiny tears at top, one small corner bump, scattered small water stains and a few light stains on front board with some color loss - plus a tiny water stain on rear board.

The famous Good Friday processions at Seville, the great Prado museum, the caves of Altamira, the gipsies, the appearance of a land still recovering from the ravages of civil war - all these are subjects for Frank Clune's vivid description. Dust jacket has creasing along top edge, a few tiny to small tears, a few tiny foxing marks, light to moderate edge wear, slight darkening to spine and flap-folds, now protected in mylar sleeve. 395 pp, 298 pp, 258 pp, 592 pp, 10" H. 4 volumes in dark green slipcase with gold lettering/profile of Darwin on side panels. Bound in dark green buckram with gold banding, brown leather labels with gold lettering on spine - gold borders, lettering and Darwin profile on front boards. Dark brown endpapers, top edges dark green. B&w illustrations. 'A Naturalist's Voyage' has a tiny faint dent/scuff on rear board. 'The Descent of Man' has small bump at top corner of front board and top of front hinge. 'The Expression of the Emotions' has wrinkle at bottom of spine. Slipcase has a small bump at one top front and rear corner, very light rubbing. The gold lettering on spine labels is all complete - scan does not show it well.
