Includes an Introduction (Extent and History / Antiquities / Products and Manuacturers / Geology and Traveller's View / Main Roads / Railway Systems / Skeleton Tour / Places of Interest / An Artistic and Antiquarian Tour). Describes a variety of routes, radiating out from London, Hastings, "Tonbridge" Wells, Brighton, Horsham and Godalming, plus an Index. The usual visits to provincial capitals, major industries, memorials, receptions, presentations and motorcades, but also shows the royal couple square dancing, getting wet at Niagara Falls, at a "ruby" game between Edmonton Eskimos and Winnipeg Blue Bombers, etc. Book is cocked, name and date in ink on free fron endpaper, light edge wear, slight darkening to edges of boards. Dust jacket has light to moderate edge wear/creasing, several small edge chips and tears, light to moderate rubbing, light browning at top edge of flaps, protected in a mylar sleeve.

He was born in 1780, and his father died in 1789 - ki lled, according to Wetherell, in a skirmish with Eskimos in Davis Strait. Wetherell himself died, probably in New York, sometime after 1834. He left behind him an autobiography, in three volumes of manuscript amounting altogether to a thous a n d p a g es. Vol. I is the third edition, printed 1837, 336 pp. Vol. II is the second edition, printed 1838, 323 pp + (1) pp advertising for other works by author. Vol. III is the first edition, printed in 1839, 348 pp. Vol. I has a 1895 gift inscription on the front free endpaper and a 1846 gift inscription on a preliminary page. Vol. II has a very small bump/crease at bottom corner of page 77 to 100. All volumres have a few scattered tiny faint foxing marks throughout pages and on edges of text blocks, a small slight bump at board corners, very light wear on bottom edges of boards, some light wear to leather, some scattered tiny foxing marks on boards.
